Aglaonema, or Chinese evergreen, is one of the easiest ways to put real colour into a dim corner of a Canadian home. The patterned leaves come in silver, pink and deep red, and the plant is content with the low light most of us have through an Ontario winter. Water when the top of the soil dries and it will simply keep going.
