Acceptance of terms

By visiting My Jungle Roots, creating an account, or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. We may update these terms from time to time — the current version always lives at this URL.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order or create an account. If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to complete the purchase on your behalf.

Your account

You can sign up with an email and password or with Google. You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect someone else has access.

We may suspend or close an account that's used to commit fraud, harass other people, or violate these terms.

Orders, pricing, and payment

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). Prices and availability can change without notice; the price you pay is the price shown at checkout. Payment is processed by Square. We don't see or store your card details.

Inventory is mirrored from our point-of-sale in real time, but rare race conditions can happen between web and in-store sales. If we can't fulfil your order because something sold in-store at the same moment, we'll email you and refund the affected line.

Shipping

We ship plants on Mondays, Canada-wide, with rates calculated at checkout. Full shipping policy — provinces served, carriers, winter packaging — lives on our Shipping & Returns page.

Returns and refunds

If something arrives damaged or your order is wrong, email us and we'll try to make it right. Our returns and refunds approach is described on Shipping & Returns.

Live plant liability

Live plants in transit can suffer from extreme cold, extreme heat, or carrier delays beyond our control. We pack carefully and ship on Mondays to minimize weekend exposure, but we can't guarantee against every weather event. Intellectual property

The site, our logo, photos, product descriptions, and care guides are owned by My Jungle Roots and protected by copyright. You can browse and share links freely, but please don't copy or repackage our content for commercial use without asking us first. Anything you submit (reviews, photos, chat messages) remains yours, but you grant us a royalty-free licence to use it to operate the shop and respond to you.

Acceptable use

When you use our site, please don't:

• Use automated tools to scrape or harvest data in ways that burden our systems or ignore our robots.txt — search and AI crawlers we allow there are welcome;
• Try to break, probe, or bypass our security measures;
• Submit fraudulent orders or chargebacks;
• Use the Ask Jungle assistant to generate harmful, illegal, or abusive content;
• Impersonate someone else or misrepresent your identity.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

We do our best to keep the site accurate and reliable, but we provide it on an “as-is” basis. We don't make any guarantees about uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or that the AI assistant will never give an off-base answer.

To the fullest extent allowed by Canadian law, our total liability for any claim arising out of an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses (lost profits, lost data, etc.). Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer-protection laws that can't be waived by contract.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be heard by the courts located in Grey & Bruce Counties, Ontario.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms when our business or legal obligations change. We'll update the “Last updated” date at the top, and if a change is material, we'll let our newsletter subscribers know. Continuing to use the site after we post changes means you accept the updated terms.
