Calathea Plants

Calathea, along with their close relatives Maranta and Goeppertia, are the prayer plants that fold their leaves each night and open them again in the morning. They are grown for foliage, with painted stripes and blushes of pink and purple, and they prefer a spot with soft light and steady humidity. We keep a handful in stock at our Hanover shop and ship live plants across Canada on Mondays so they arrive within the week. If your home runs dry in winter, a pebble tray or a humidifier makes all the difference.
